Salted Caramel, its everywhere! So unless you’ve been living on a deserted tropical island (wouldn’t that be nice!), you’ve probably already had Salted Caramel flavoured yoghurts, chocolates and energy gels. Maybe even an At One Salted Caramel energy bar 😍
But have you tried Salted Caramel nice cream…? We’re sure many of you would have, being such a healthy bunch!
For the uninitiated, nice cream is ice cream with a difference. Rather than being made from sugar, milk, cream and other ingredients we’d all like to pretend aren’t in there, its made from fruit. Normally bananas, but strawberries and raspberries are other good options. Bananas are our preference as they allow the versatility to flavour the nice cream with cacao powder for a chocolate version, coconut shreds for a coconutty flavour, or in this case, a Salted Caramel Energy Bar 😎
Here’s our recipe, why not give it a try. Hey, if you’re game, create your own version using your favourite energy bar flavour!
4 frozen bananas
2 tbsp of your choice of milk
1 At One Salted Caramel energy bar
Your choice of toppings – we like to coconut shreds, pistachios and more Salted Caramel bar
Add bananas and milk to a high-powered blender and blend on high-speed until you have the smooth consistency of ice cream. You may need to stop part way to scrape down the sides of the blender.
Once blended, crumble the Salted Caramel bar and add to blender. Mix on medium speed for 2 seconds. You want to mix in but not blend the bar.
Service nice cream in a bowl, add toppings
Creates 4 delicious servings 👍🏼
