“You CAN do anything with persistence, commitment and consistent training”
Triathlon and Surf Ironman
Have achieved “legend” status from completing TEN Noosa Triathlons, and about to repeat that accolade at the fast-approaching 2018 running of the Mooloolaba Triathlon.
Have completed 3 full distance IRONMAN races, all in Cairns, improving each time based on experience and focus.
Previous to my triathlon life, I competed at various competitions with Surf Lifesaving and have now returned to that arena to tackle the 2018 Coolangatta Gold.
While I’ve done many Olympic races over the 1.5/40/10 distance, my most treasured sporting moment was crossing the line in my third IRONMAN; crushing my PB and target time by over 30 minutes. A culmination of 3 years of training, preparation and learning the hard way (from the 2 previous races that didn’t go to plan).
Here’s a few tips handed down or absorbed that cover various topics:
1. Nutrition is vitally important, for healthy living and optimal racing.
2. Take your time during your journey of self-discovery, for every event has a valuable lesson and every lesson leads to growth.
3. Be yourself, because no one else can be.
4. Surround yourself with positivity.
Live each day like there’s no tomorrow, because there was once a day without a yesterday…
